At Saint James, we believe in the power of prayer and the importance of caring for one another in every season of life. Whether you’re celebrating a joy, navigating a challenge, or simply in need of encouragement, our community is here to walk with you.
We gather regularly to pray for our congregation, community, and the world. If you have a concern on your heart—or a praise to share—we invite you to submit a prayer request at any time using our confidential online form. You can also leave written requests and praise reports on the bulletin boards located in the administrative hallway.
Members of our prayer team, Pneuma, lift up these requests during designated prayer times, including on Sunday mornings before worship. We also host weekly prayer calls via Zoom and gather quarterly for prayer, devotion, and fellowship.
Are you going through a tough time—emotionally or spiritually? Facing a life crisis, a period of grief, or simply feeling overwhelmed?
You don’t have to go through it alone.
Stephen Ministers are trained members of our congregation who provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to individuals experiencing difficult seasons of life. Whether you’re navigating illness, job loss, family struggles, or spiritual doubt, a Stephen Minister is available to walk alongside you with compassion, prayer, and presence.
This is intensive caregiving: Stephen Ministers typically meet with their care receivers once a week, offering a consistent and supportive presence over time. All care is confidential and free—offered with no pressure, no judgment, and no expectation other than walking with you in faith.
Stephen Ministers are not counselors or therapists.
They are trained Christian caregivers—there to listen, care, pray, and encourage.
Referrals for Stephen Ministry can be made by contacting our Stephen Leaders through the church office, by email, or using the confidential form below:
Through phone calls, visits, meals, and encouragement, we support one another through every stage of life. Our elders are committed to showing up with kindness and grace—whether during a hospital stay, a time of loss, or a moment of celebration.
If you or someone you know needs care, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to listen, to pray, and to help.
