Ministries & Programs of the Fellowship Team
The Fellowship Team providing oversight for all aspects of fellowship at SJPC. Active elders (those currently serving on the Session) provide leadership for this area along with volunteers who desire to work with the team.
Stephen Ministers – The Stephen Ministers work to provide care and oversight for members and community residents who are experiencing difficult times and desire the support of a caring Christian brother or sister. Stephen Ministers must complete over 50 hours of training to learn how to listen and support those experiencing a crisis. Contact the Stephen Ministers.
The Compassion Committee – The Compassion committee works to provide a variety of support to bereaved families and their friends. This committee is also responsible for preparing the meals for their families and friends after funeral services.
Singles With A Mission (SWAM) – SWAM is designed to provide singles persons with fellowship and opportunities to promote and participate in the various ministries at SJPC. One of the primary missions of SWAM is the Saint James Presbyterian Church Community Garden.
Older Adult Ministries – This is a ministry designed to address he needs of senior citizens in our church and greater community as it relates to attending social functions and learning about programs and services specifically designed to enrich the lives of senior adults.
